Field Application & Service Engineer (m/w/x)

Join our passionate team developing and supporting high-precision measurement systems used by leading photovoltaic manufacturers and research laboratories worldwide.

By working at the intersection of metrology, optics, electronics and software, you will contribute directly to the performance and reliability of solar technologies — playing an active role in the global energy transition.

You will ensure the performance, reliability and continuous improvement of our photovoltaic measurement systems installed in Asia, Europe and the USA.

This position offers strong technical exposure, international travel, and close collaboration with customers, Sales, R&D and Product Management.

Your responsibilities

  • Install, commission and maintain systems at customer sites worldwide
  • Provide advanced (2nd level) technical support to customers
  • Develop and deliver technical training (theoretical and practical) for customers
  • Write and maintain user manuals, procedures and technical documentation
  • Perform product qualification and validation tests in collaboration with R&D
  • Contribute field feedback and improvement proposals to Product Management
  • Analyze returned components and support root cause investigations.

Your profile

  • Engineering degree (Bachelor) in electronics, microtechnology, industrial systems or related fields — or equivalent technical experience.
  • Strong interest in multidisciplinary technologies: metrology, optics, electronics, mechanics, automation, programming and IT systems
  • Willingness to travel internationally (approx.. 40%) for short but regular missions
  • Highly creative and autonomous
  • Advanced English (C1 level); French is an asset
